Homemade Hash Browns


Most Sundays start with brunch. Whoops I forgot to buy the frozen hash browns. So I made my own. it was very messy and a bit of a faff, but we'll worth it!

Here they are on my plate. I made lots to freeze.  Potatoes freeze better when they have been cooked; chips & toasties.  

This is the process in picture form. Soak the shredded potato in water, this removes the starch from the potatoes. Ideally soak the prepared potatoes overnight, making them crispy when cooking.

Same method of you are making homemade fries, soaking them in cold water also prevents them from sticking together.
