Crushed Malterser Caramel Shortbread


Very decandant and sickly version of a Millionaire Shortbread. Bottom layer is a simple homemade crumbly shortbread, I roll out the shortbread mixture between 2 chopsticks to get the depth even, then bake on a low heat. When cool I topped off with sticky caramel, I used a tin of caramel, then popped into the fridge to set before finishing with a topping of melted chocolate with crushed Maltersers. Then back into the fridge to chill for an hour or so. I made them for my teenager children, who polished them off with only a few crumbs left to photograph.
